I was very fortunate to be able to purchase Drifter, from his breeders, Joanne and Rob Burns. This dog became my first specials dog. Drifter raised the bar for me as far as my expectations and direction for my breeding program. He was also my best friend. This dog did it all. As you will see below, he had a brilliant career in the conformation ring, followed by an equally brilliant career in the obedience ring. Sometimes he would fail in obedience, but when he qualified, he rarely earned less than 190+ score. Drifter also excelled as a Sire being awarded Sire of the Year. The combination of these records has not been matched by any other dog. Remember that when Drifter was being shown, the Working and Herding Groups were one group, the Working group.
